Taxonomic notes on the genus Salmoneus Holthuis, 1955 (Decapoda, Caridea, Alpheidae) from the South China Sea

Four species of the genus Salmoneus Holthuis, 1955 are described and illustrated in the present paper, including two newly recorded species, Salmoneus cristatus (Coutière, 1897) and Salmoneus tricristatus Banner, 1959. The mouthparts of these two species are illustrated herein. A key to all Indo-West Pacific species of the genus Salmoneus is provided as well.
