A review of the genus Alpheopsis (Decapoda, Caridea, Alpheidae) from the seas of China

The genus Alpheopsis (Decapoda, Alpheidae) from the seas of China is reviewed. Two species belonging to the genus are described, including one newly recorded species, Alpheopsis yaldwyni Banner & Banner, 1973. In this study the mouthparts of the two species were dissected and illustrated for the first time. The differences between the Chinese material and previous descriptions are reported. A key to all species of the genus Alpheopsis is provided.
