The poorly known hippolytid prawn species Mimocaris heterocarpoides was discovered in brackish water in South Vietnam. A redescription and illustrations are provided, previous records are discussed, and its occurrence in southern Vietnam is described. /// Mimocaris heterocarpoides, crevette hippolytide assez mal connue, a été découverte en eau saumâtre dans le sud de Vietnam. Elle est redécrite et figurée, et son habitat est discuté.
