A Further Sponge-Dwelling Species of the Periclimenes Iridescens Complex from the Western Atlantic (decapoda, Caridea, Palaemonidae)

Crustaceana, 82(7):829-836.

A new sponge-dwelling species of the western Atlantic Periclimenes iridescens species complex is described from Caribbean Panama. The new species is closely similar to the only other sponge-dwelling species in the complex, but can be easily separated by the highly unequal second pereiopods, as well as the armature of the major chela.
