A revision of the genus Oziotelphusa Muller, 1887 (Crustacea : Decapoda : Parathelphusidae), with descriptions of eight new species

The taxonomy of Oziotelphusa Muller, 1887, a genus of rice-field crabs restricted to the lowlands of Sri Lanka and southern peninsular India, is revised. Fifteen species are now recognized, including six new species from Sri Lanka and two new species from the southern Indian state of Kerala. Oziotelphusa wagrakarowensis (Rathbun, 1904), previously synonymised under Spiralothelphusa senex (Fabricius, 1798), is regarded as a valid species. An illustrated key to the Oziotelphusa species is provided.
