Journal of the Black Sea/Mediterranean Environment, 17:90-115.
The present work was performed to have the knowledge regarding the effects of sewage pollution on the decapod crustaceans assemblage collected at depths of 0-5 m of the Dardanelles. The samples presented herein were collected on the soft-bottoms by a SCUBA diver between July 2008 and April 2009. A total of 460 specimens belong to 25 decapod species was found and among these, the hermit crab, Diogenes pugilator has the highest dominance value of Di\%=74.35). Multiregression approach resulted in statistically insignificant relationship between physical, chemical and biochemical parameters of water and sediment and decapod species.
