Sex pheromones of the hair crab EP Erimacrus isenbeckii. Part 1: Isolation and structures of novel ceramides

Tetrahedron, 56(51):9895-9899.

Possible sex pheromones of the brachyuran crab Erimacrus isenbeckii have been isolated by using a unique sponge assay from the water in which postmolt females had been maintained. Their structures were elucidated to be new ceramides by spectroscopic and chemical degradation studies. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
