A Second Finding of Vercoia Interrupta Kim & Fujita, 2004 (crustacea, Decapoda, Crangonidae), a Remarkable Shrimp Imitating Dead Snail Shells
Raffles Bulletin of Zoology, 58(1):27-30.
Vercoia interrupta Kim & Fujita, 2004, a crangonid shrimp from coral rubble habitats, is reported from Balicasag (Bohol) and Ponson (Cebu), in the central Philippines. This is the first finding of this rare species since its discovery in Okinawa and represents a considerable extension of its distribution range southwards. This shrimp also appears to be a remarkable imitator of dead cerithiid shells.
