A10222 Chondrites Info

Name: Asuka 10222 Country: Antarctica Date: 2010 Mass (g): 5.5 Class: CK4 Collected jointly by: NIPR (Japan) and RBINS (Belgium) Carbonaceous chondrites: CK4 (Kardoona-type). The prototype of these carbonaceous chondrites is the Kardoona meteorite, which fell in 1930 near the South Australian town Kardoona. It is distinguished by abundant fine-grained matrix (~75 vol%) and mm-sized chondrules.
