0.00 – 0.20 m
Dark brownish-black, humic, sandy loam/clay; non-calcareous; plant roots

0.20 – 0.40 m
Greyish-brown sandy loam/clay; few shell fragments; little calcareous

0.40 – 0.60 m
Greyish-brown sandy loam/clay; many shell fragments; calcareous; Fe oxidation spots

0.60 – 0.70 m
Dark brown, humic sandy clay; few shell fragments; non-calcareous; Fe oxidation spots

0.70 – 0.80 m
Brown very loamy sand/sandy loam; calcareous; Fe oxidation spots

0.80 – 1.10 m
Light beige-grey sandy loam with sandier intercalations; calcareous; Fe oxidation spots

1.10 – 1.60 m
Light beige-grey silty, very fine sand; very calcareous; Fe oxidation spots

1.60 – 2.50 m
Light grey silty, very fine sand; very calcareous; some shell speckles (?); some glauconite grains (?)

Remark: top loam/clay layer becomes progressively more clayey from NW to SE (HEN-01, HEN-02 to HEN-03)
